Description: Transportation Policy Plan (TPP) 2050 Active Railroads was developed as part of the 2050 TPP, published 2024.This data can be seen in the Freight Investment Chapter, and appears in one figure titled "Metropolitan Freight System". Associated dataset includes Freight Terminal Types.This dataset originally comes from the Rail Route Network dataset published by the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT), to represent all active rail routes - meaning not abandoned or tracks removed - in Minnesota. The data has been clipped to the extent for the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for use in the 2050 TPP.
